8 miles in the morning.
12 miles in the evening.
I am glad that I didn't race the half marathon on Saturday. My legs felt great yesterday and even better this morning while I was doing my 8 miler. Can't wait until the Striders Half!
I did .25 miles to hurry to track practice this afternoon. I couldn't run with the distance runners because I was timing some of the sprinters. I went up to Weber State and had my workout with Paul Pilkington. We ran on the outdoor track today which still had a bunch of snow on it which made the track really wet. I did a 3 mile warm-up and then he had me do 2000, 1600, 1200, 800, and a 400 with 2-4 minutes recovery jog in between each. Here are the times as follows: 2000- 6:15, 1600- 5:00, 1200- 3:41, 800- 2:22, 400- 1:06. The times were not as fast as I would have liked but their was a nice little headwind which probably slowed me done a touch. The effort was their though. I did a 5 mile cooldown afterwards and was happy to get home. It was nice running at 7:30 at night when it is not completely dark. |
