I hope to run a sub-2:50 marathon, and to complete several events of 50 miles or longer.
I also hope to run a sub-5:00 mile.
Long-Term Running Goals:
I expect to compete in distance running for the next 30 years.
Personal:
Didn't run a lick until college, and then only to make weight for coxswaining (college crew). Rowed, sculled, and coxed for over a dozen years at all levels from club to international.

Thanks very much! Hoping to build my training base and get faster; I've never really run more than three or four days a week, never more than 30 miles or so. I've been trying to change my gait to do less of a heel strike, and to strike less out in front and more directly below my body.

Jeff Shadley, the 2nd guy to comment here, would be a good one to get advice about your form and training methods.
