Slept in a little today. Stayed up too late on sunday night. Ran the last 3 miles of the spectrum 10k. I liked it. Instead of that long stretch running along main street it is broken up. It was a nice run

I went to the Snow Canyon High school track today. I did 1 mile warm-up then I did 1 mile at 7:30 then I did one recovery lap. I then did three laps at 5:45. One lap recovery. 2 laps at 3:27 One lap recovery. 1 lap at 1:35. One lap recovery. 1 lap at 1:33. then 1 mile cool down.

The track is so nice now that they refinished it. I didn't think I needed my gloves but my hands were freezing the first 3 miles.

Getting a little nervous for Saturday.

It was a good run. I liked the new course. Set a PR. My previous record for the Spectrum 10k was 46:06. I wish I would have ran those first couple miles a little bit faster. The third place runner in my age group was only 40 seconds faster. I did pass about 4 guys in the last mile which felt good. Next year I'll have to try for 43 minutes.

We went to the movie "Horton Hears a Who" afterwards. The girls really liked it.

After the movie my 8 year old wanted to go to Snow Canyon High school and run on the track. I ran a couple laps with her then my right hip started to hurt and my calves felt tight so I stopped. She ran two more laps. Can't wait for the day when she can run the Spectrum 10k with me.
