Went to the Snow Canyon track this morning. Couldn't believe how cold it was and the wind started blowing after my 2 warm-up miles. I  attempted to do a speed work out called the perfect mile but it was anything but perfect.  You run 1 mile at marathon pace then 1 recovery lap.  Then 3 laps at marathon pace.  1 recovery lap.   2 laps at 10k pace.  1 recovery lap.  Then 1 lap as fast as you could go.   I did the last step twice then ended with a mile cool down.

There was a strong headwind every 1/2 lap so my time wasn't as great as I had wanted but oh well.  At least it wasn't a hot wind.

Interesting workout. I'll have to try it...

Sounds like it was better than perfect for you: you did an extra fast lap! Great job!

Great workout! I need to give that I try!

When is your June race? Is it soon or at the end of the month?
