Running Accomplishments:

I'm a new runner (just started last year).  In that period of time I've done my first 5K (33:03), and my first 10 miler (1:53:11).  I'm now training for my very first triathlon!  I've also managed to lose 105 lbs in a year and a half.  I have 45 more to go.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm working on my endurance and speed.  I want to be able to complete my Triathlon, and also a Half Marathon this year.  I'm hoping to shoot for a full Marathon next year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

A dream goal of mine would be to qualify for the Boston Marathon.  I'm a SLOW runner, so this might be a LOT of work for me but I'll never know if I don't try!

Personal:

I'm a single, professional musician living in Ohio.  I also work a day job, so my time is limited.  But I'm determined.  :)

Bootcamp day.  Burned almost 900 calories out in the humidity.  Did some hill sprints and some football drills, as well as field running.  Approximating milage.

Went for an evening run @ the bike and hike path.   A few small grade changes (one long, gradual decline to start (that felt fantastic!) which meant I had a long, gradual incline to finish.

Felt strong and energetic through the whole run.  Tried to push my pace just a little (normal pace approx 11 - 12 min. miles).  Ended up running all 4 in 40 minutes!  I didn't time each split, but I'm sure my start (downhill) was quicker than my return (uphill!).  That's my quickest pace so far outdoors.  I'm quite pleased.

Up @ 5:30 am: Walked 15 minutes to the local track.  Did 8 sprints within a mile.  Limited time available, so once one mile was complete I had to head back.  Cooled down on my walk home, stretched well and went about my day.

Felt the effort I expended yesterday, as I was a little sluggish.  I'm also not used to morning workouts.  I'm working on making these standard!

Extremely glycogen depleted today, so felt like I was running while encased in concrete.  Also pretty warm and muggy outside.  Still made it 2 miles (with Jan and Bill) and then another mile later at bootcamp.  Tough work though.  Thankfully Sunday is a blissful carb-up day!!
