Long-Term Running Goals: Stay fit enough to run marathons all thru my life
Personal: I started running at age 40 (14 years ago!) I am married to Harold, he is a super supportive husband and we enjoy running and biking the trails along the Wasatch Front together. Between us we have 7 children and 9 grandchildren. I am really having fun trying new races in scenic parts of Utah, I am a newbie in the ultrarunning world, I am slow, but love everything about it! I have a lot to learn, but I am enjoying the journey. Favorite Blogs: |

| | One mile test, 8:54!! In 8 weeks I have shaved off 2 minutes. It felt easier today than most of the other tests, so I think I can still go faster. | Add Comment |
| | Ardie and I hiked Stewart Falls, it is worth the drive! Blue Lemon afterwards, makes for a perfect day> | Add Comment |

American Fork Half (13.1 Miles) 02:29:00 | |
Wow! I signed up to run this race for a relative with cancer, so glad I did. It was a great course and very well organized and Kneaders had french toast at the end! A 5 Star race for sure. I got to hang out with Lisa and Jenny before and after the race, so that was fun. Melanie and Monica were there at the end to cheer me on. Played leap frog with Kelli and John, they were supporting their 17 year old daughter on her first half. Saw Rachel and Margret at the top and several others milling around at the start. I am happy doing a half in under 3 hours, so my 2:29 time was GREAT! I plan to come back next year, this one is a gem! I also loved the shade of the canyon, it was pleasant thru the whole race.

| | Ardie and I hiked on the north Mill B trail to the overlook and back. It was just enough miles to get my stiffness worked out from the half marathon Sat. I feel great. | Add Comment |
| | Dot and I did ran the Crest for the first time this year, we went from Gaurdsman to Mill D. I fell and got a bloody knee and ripped my running pants, and Dot forgot the keys to her car. We hitch hiked up to my car on Gaurdmans Pass, something I am deathly afraid of. Thank you man with the pony tail that picked us up for not cutting us into pieces. | Comments(1) |
| | Hiked to lake Blanche with Kim, it was tough after 9.5 yesterday. Kim is an animal. Bumped into Dot (Trish) on the trail, she was my running partner yesterday, guess we both are crazy. :) | Add Comment |
