I'm consciously choosing not to run tonight.  My friend and visiting teachee is in the hospital with her 9 year old daughter who was just diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  So instead of running, I went to the hospital to give her love and encouragement.  But I'm a bit of wimp in hospitals, so I also just cried with her.  Tahlia is SUCH a sweet little girl and is so genuinely kind to my daughter with special needs.  I'm sad for the life altering course this is for her; but I know that she'll be strong and sweet no matter what life brings.  Somc sweet souls are just like that - good to the core.

Oh that IS sad. Hopefully, now that they have it diagnosed, she will be very healthy now with good treatment. I've heard you talk about Tahlia before. Doesn't it seem like it is always the super good souls who have to face stuff like this?

Is this the girl that you had pictures of on your blog that invited Cami to her birthday party? What a sweet girl. There is actually a good life for people with diabetes. You just have to be careful with the diet, test the blood and exercise a lot. Do you remember that missionary that was in LL that was diabetic. A real attractive guy. Ann Taylor's daughter that is Seth's age has type 1 diabetes and has had 2 children and looks so normal you would never guess if you didn't know.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Tahlia. Thank goodness they caught it and can now treat it. You made a good decision to visit her instead of running. You're a very kind person.
