I went to see my Grandpa today, he is 88 years old and in the hospital.  He has been so active up until now and I think I took for granted that one summer he may just not be at the family camp out or that we would not be able to spend Eureka days at his house.   It hit me very hard how fast time flies and how important it is to make the most of each day with people you love.    The doctors say he is just wearing out.   As I left the hospital my grandma and grandpa both had the look on there face that I remember as I child when they only saw us once a year or so and it was time to leave.  My mom would cling to them both and they would all cry.    My mom and dad will wear out one day as will I.    I ask myself if I make the most of my time.

This is one of my favorite poems for times like this,

If I knew it would be the last time I'd see you fall asleep.   I'd tuck you in more tightly, and pray your soul to keep.     If I knew it would be the last time I'd see you walk out the door, I'd hug you and kiss you-and call you back for just one more.     If I knew it would be the last time we'd spare a minute or two, I'd stop and say "I love you,"  Instead of assuming you know I do.            If I knew it would be the last time I'd be there to share your day, I wouldn't wait until tomorrow, Letting time with you slip away.     For surely there is tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we'll always get a second chance to make everything all right.          There will always be another chance to say our " I love yous,"   And certainly there's another chance to say our "what I can dos."      But just in case I am wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say I love you and hope you never forget.   Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, Young or old alike,   And today might be your last chance to hold your loved one tight.     So if you're waiting for tomorrow, Why not do it all today?   For if tomorrow never comes, you will surely regret the day you didn't take the extra time for a smile or hug or kiss. And you surely aren't to busy to grant what may be their last wish.    So hold your loved ones close today, And wisper in their ear;  Tell them how much you love them, and that you'll always hold them dear.  Take the time to say "I'm sorry," "forgive me",  or " It's ok,"  And if tomorrow never comes you'll have no regrets about today.

My husband had to leave town again today.  I am going to go crazy!  I was able to go get new running shoes yesterday. Since my husband was going to be gone again all week and I get all the kids I decided to go check out fleet feet before I drove to Orem and then had my kids running all over the place. I think they acually did a very good job.

I got my kids down to the park about noon and ran/ walked the track for 3.50 miles.  I pretty much ran a lap and then walked one for 45 minutes. The stroller I have to way to low or something.  I had a hard time running with it and even steering it, but the wind was blowing as well.  My knee felt really good so that is a plus.  I don't think the lack of sleep and added stress helps with my energy at all.   I won't get into my allergies and all the dust that gets kicked up from this wind lately.  I have a horriable cough tonight from running around in the wind.

I did get on the treadmill just so I could try a faster run.  I ran a mile in 9 minutes, and then I slowed down for the next .50.  I could feel my knee is a little sore but it seemed to make a world of diffrence getting new shoes. Or maybe it is because I have had a couple days off.

I ran my four miles in 41 minutes.(treadmill) Ya!  I hope I can start building miles again without hitting a wall again.  I had the treadmill at an incline for half of it and then upped it for my last mile.

I stretched and then worked my abs really good and then I did a few leg weights..

It felt really good to run more than 2 miles at a time again.

I decided to make a quilt for my grandpa (The one who's in the hospital)  and then I thought my other grandparents would be left out and so I decided to make one for each of them.   I cut squares all day yesterday, and my behind feels like I did mega workout yesterday.

And the pollens must be really high right now or it is my dumb dog that barked all night the last two nights so I had to bring her in but my allergies are killin me.

I had my baby go to his great grandparents home today so I got cleaning and lost track of time.

I took the kids down to the park and was able to run a mile around the track. (9 minutes.) I did not use my inhalor and my chest was getting to tight to breath, I did try walking .50 to see if walking helped but it didn't, so we came home.  My allergies are getting so bad, my nose is feeling raw  from running so much.

I used my inhalor and got my cough under control then I got on my treadmill.  I think I may have had my best times today. i am not sure.

My first 2 miles was in 18 minutes, then 28 minutes by mile 4.10 I was at 40 minutes. I slowed down at the end.  I walked the last bit up hill using weights.   I felt really good and no knee pain at all.    I did keep getting a side ache and that did not help but other wise, I had an awsome day.
