Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Two quite painful miles on a TM with walking breaks for one minute out of every three.  I'm trusting my PT completely and doing whatever he says to do.  I was discouraged when I went to see him today but he said not to be, we are going to make it through this.  He wrapped both of my feet today in two different ways.  The one is to help with the healing of the foot, the other one is to help the way my foot hits when I run.

Thanks for the continued encouragement and support from all of you for me and Tom.  It's kind of crazy we both ended up with some down time right now.  But fortunately I don't think either of us have been too ornery with the conditions.  Luckily Tom has an Eliptical machine at work he gets to take all of his frustrations out on!  He is a wild and crazy Elipical guy!

Sorry to hear about the pain. Sounds like it was in the foot, not the IT band, correct?

BTW yes we WILL make it through this, this is simply a little bump in the road that we probably won't even remember much in a year or 2.

Keep up the rehab things will get better. I think my IT band injuries have been the most frustrating of any I have ever had but it gets better. Make sure you use the roller it is a life saver.

Thanks for sharing the PT info, its interesting! Best wishes to you & Tom for fast recoveries. Good thing the holidays & cold weather are here- nice time to recover. Thanks for your sweet tribute regarding my small part in your marathon story. You were very crucial to me also that day, I was struggling and it picked me up to see you!
