Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Ran .3 while I waited for my running partner to get home from taking kids to school.  A bit windy to start out, but settled down to a nice morning for a run.  We are adding one mile each week to our long run to get ready for the Painter's half in Jan.

Wow! 6.3 that's awesome! Isn't nice to already have that longer run out of the way and it's only Monday?! Impressive for Beth as well, I'm assuming she went with you the entire 6 miles?

Geez! You are making huge strides, here, Kim. Was today your long run, or are you just running this much on a normal day?!?

From Kim on Mon, Oct 29, 2007 at 11:52:35

Thanks guys! Yes, Beth ran the whole way with me. I was very impressed with her!

Today was my long run. I am running 4 on most days. It was really fun to see how each mile just floated by for us this morning. When you get talking and get in the groove it is quite enjoyable.

So you'll be doing 20 milers by Painter's, eh? (6 + 1x14 weeks) ;) Perhaps you'll plateau your long runs before then!

You might move those long runs to Saturday once they get higher, and we hope you'll join the SF group soon. You don't need to have just one running partner, it's great to have many! I think you will be in the 9 minute mile range (9:15-9:45) within a month, and then you'll be able to keep up with many of the SF group.

We figure that through the holidays we will not be adding a mile and have a few weeks to(eat)fudge the miles a bit. ( I don't know how that "eat" got in there!?!:) )

It would be great if under 9:00 minute miles were that close in my future, but I don't see it quite that soon. But eventually! Then it would be fun to come out with the SF gang.

I love fudge! I'll have to make sure you guys get some this year from me. Would you prefer white or regular chocolate?

You don't need to be under 9 minute miles, just in the 9's somewhere. Don't stress about under 9:00.

Regular chocolate!!!!

I actually meant to say under 10 minute miles instead of 9:00. Even that seems far away. Right now my fast miles are between 10:30 and 11:30. That is with the huffn' and puffn' and choo chooin'!
