I started running in the fall of 2007. I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.
Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014. My favorite PRs: 2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22. 2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15
Short-Term Running Goals:
Long-Term Running Goals:
Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.
Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!
On running and on life.....
On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Going to St. George? Bag the hotel and stay in one of our condos instead!
Well, the wrap above my knee seems to be keeping the major pains at bay. Saturday will probably be my best test with the wrap. I'll be doing a 15 miler. Then I will just have to hope that with the wrap and the taper and a lot of prayer and some good luck and race day magic that I'll actually be able to run 26.2 miles on Oct. 4!
Kim, I am so glad to hear that your knee is doing better. I really think it sounds like you are being smart about taking care of it. I hope your week continues to go well and that your knee keeps improving. You are going to do great at the marathon, I know it!!!
Kim!! Yahoo!! You definitely deserve to run without knee pain.
About Saturday ... please be careful. You really don't need to get a 15 miler in ... you are already ready. I know you will do what is best, but maybe consider a 12 miler or so. Remember, the wrap isn't an overnight miracle drug ... it's helping, but my guess is that it will take a couple of weeks to get rid of all the accumulated inflammation from last Saturday. So run smart!! Don't overdo it. If there's no pain, by all means run baby run ... but be careful. :)
Kim, my computer is whacked and will not let me email you back regarding the "key" situation. I will leave it here at my office for you. Please call me when you have a minute #636-1219. Thanks Kim!!
Tom and I are going to be in St. George so we thought it would be nice to try to get some of the course in since I have never ran any of it before. We were planning on doing 11 at my marathon pace with a couple warm up and a couple cool down. But you can bet that I will be paying attention to what my knee is telling me. I still feel bad that the 22 miler failed so I would like to see this be a really nice run.
Have fun in St. George!!! Best of luck with the knees!

Kim, knees shouldn't hurt when you run. If it hurts due to imflamation then you shouldn't run. Drugs and rest. Keep testing it until it doesn't hurt.
