Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Last night Tom and I had our friend, Nate the Great massage therapist, come over to work through all our aches and pains.  He spent about an hour and a half on each of us.  We are planning on having him come over a few more times before the big day.  Money well spent at this point of training.

Tom has the day off today.  We just went out for a short, easy run.  One, because we have a 1/2 marathon tomorrow and two, because Nate thought it would be good to keep it that way today.

We'll go get a temple session in while the kids are at school and hit the temple cafeteria for lunch.

Now....which button shall I push at the bottom here?  And how long will we have to look at the lady with the arrow on her nose?

Good question about the lady with the arrow on her nose. Wish I had a private masseuse (sp.) to come to my house. Good for you for taking it easy today. I wanted to but I did nothing yesterday so at the end of my five mile run today I did two 800 at a slower than usual pace but still hard so my mind likes to play tricks on me and say "you are too tired for a half-marathon just skip it and go to your daughter's soccer game". I really am hoping to win an ipod or better a garmin. Glad they don't go to the fastest. Just those that show up and stay for the raffles. Anyway Kim you don't know me but I found your blog one day and find it very interesting to read. Some blogs I get tired just reading about all the miles they put in, but I am glad to know others do the less miles less pain route like me. Someday I maybe able to do all those miles and perhaps that's your goal too. Have a good day!!!! Sleep well and maybe I can find you at the half tomorrow by the picture here at your blog.

That lady is driving me NUTS! and there are too many buttons at the bottom and I am forever confused as to which to ckick!

Nice massage! Nice run! Good luck with the half tomorrow! :D

ha ha ha ha ... That cracked me up (can you tell)!!???

Good luck tomorrow Kim, run by effort, try to run the first half pretty easy and then run hard the second half -- it is a good way to "get into it", use it as a workout, and you might just suprise yourself!! Your splits will give you valuable information even if you decide not to "race" it -- then again, if you feel good "go for it". You will be in my thoughts Kim!

I have to agree - the lady with the arrow is annoying!!! And the 14 buttons at the bottom of a new post are confusing. Hahaha. It's nice to know I'm not alone!

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!! Hope you had a great session today, and a good nights rest. Knock 'em dead. ;)
