Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

This morning Tom and I met Bill and Jennifer at Patetneet to run up and down Payson Canyon.  Tom was going up 5 while the rest of us were going up 4.  My left achilles was very tight to start out.  I was afraid it was going to be quite miserable.  However, it loosened up and was a great run.  Jennifer kept me going and we had some good conversation.

Today's overall time/average pace:  1:10:35/8:50

9:32  9:14  9:20  9:45  8:10  8:26  8:08  7:55

Great pace on the run Kim! Last time we did the up/down run 3 weeks ago your average pace was 9:22 and that was only going 7 miles. Great improvement the last few weeks I would say! I thought I might have a shot at running the 10 miles in the time you would do the 8 miles but I didn't have a prayer!

I am running the Speedy Spaniard 10K on the 24th. It will be my first 10K with training behind me so I am excited to see what happens. Are you running Des News Jody?

Wow- look at your pace! Glad to hear the achilles loosened right up for you. Keep an eye on that! I notice what shoes I wear when I'm NOT running have a lot to do with the condition of my achilles...

Christi,

Thanks for the "show when not running" advice! This time of year is not so smart with us women and the shoes we wear! Maybe I need to be a little more aware of that!
