Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

6 easy miles.  Kellie P. joined me for three of them.  She is doing very good.  It's fun to have her company.  I hope she keeps it up.  I'm planning on running the Manti 5K on Friday.  Tom is going to pace me.  We'll see if it's PR day that day.  I've been trying to do some mental training to help me get past the mental blocks that like to get in the way on race day.  It would be great to get under 24.  We'll see.

Best of luck to you in your 5K. Whatever the time you will do great. :)

Good luck on your race this week! It is going to be SOOOOO hot! (the evil queen chuckles) We are going to make up our own race at 0'dark hundred to beat the heat and the crouds. Alright, we are too lazy to drive to Provo, but our "story" (that we are sticking too) is very believable! ;)

Kim no pressure for the 5K. Just approach it like the "fun run" that it's advertised to be. Remember we'll be at higher elevation and it could be a bit warm as well so you never know what could be in store. Like Paul's blog says "Every race is an adventure" and I look forward to pacing you and seeing what adventure awaits us.

Hope your day goes well :))

Good luck in your 5k! Hey, it's only 3 miles, that's nothing compared to your training! :) Have fun!

Good luck on Friday! Have fun with it, and I think sub-24 is a definite possibility! I'll be running at mega-altitude this weekend too, so I'll think of you. :-)

Kim, Good Luck! I will be excited to read about your race, it is so inspiring to read your entries and very entertaining!!! Do you smile when you run? I know you sing Mary Poppins songs while you run!!! Go girl!!

Kim, Manti may be the 5K PR, the sun may not be over the mountain. Sometimes to run a PR you need to go a little crazy, go out like heck and hang on. Put it all on the line. Maybe this is not the race. I always say, if you think you are in shape to give it a shot, why not?
