Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom and I met up with the Spanish Fork group today.  Lots of runners there and others along the way.  At Junkmail I turned around with a couple people and Tom continued forward to pick up some more miles at a speedier pace.  I was able to stick with some of the crowd much better than I have in the past.

Yesterday after I ran and blogged and showered I got such an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for life, family, abilities, health, etc...  I think I had the runner's high throughout the run and it escalated when I got home!  I have really enjoyed this week of running!  I am still really bummed out about not getting into the SGM, but there could be so many things worse than that!  Besides, we're going to keep working and see if we can find a way to get me in.

I'm sad you didn't get in the SGM, it would have been fun to ride the bus to the start together. The first time I tried to enter the SGM I didn't get in either. You might try Top of Utah we ran it last year and it was a pretty good race.:)

Kim, I hope you get in with some sweet talking. I have a friend you signs up for the Winter races down in Washington county just to get in.

Shoot! Yes, don't give up! The only time I lived away from SG and tried to get in, I didn't get in either- I hate that feeling. We went through it this year also when us chicas from the blog tried to get into Moab. Anyway- you'll find a way to make it down here or find another race to do that is JUST as great!

What a disappointing deal with SGM. however, you have been blogging the wonderful things you have found through fitness and feeling good about what you have accomplished so far.

Sorry about the St. George thing. Keep trying... my friend was able to get in last year just by being persistent and calling the Race directly periodically.
