Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom will say we ran 3 "easy" miles.  I just call them miles, not necessarily "easy", but not really hard either.  It's just that our "easy" is different from each other.  The morning was beautiful again.  I am really hoping for a beautiful morning Saturday!  I realize that the starting line for Strider's is up in the canyon and the elevation will be higher, but I'm hoping anyway!

I just noticed the latest Eden weather forecast for Saturday says Rain&Snow :(

Maybe it will be a WOW race.

From Kim on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 09:23:12

NOOOooooo!!!! Oh well, what the heck?! I did say let's see if WOW pays off. I guess we'll find out!

From Ally Holt on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 09:32:22

I hope the weather forecast is wrong! No fun to run in that weather, especially since it has been so nice down here!

Hey Kim. You will do great and I'm hoping for good weather too! We decided to stay at the lodge Friday night, so hopefully we will run in to you!

From Tom on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 11:02:21

Hey Mik'L I don't think it's too late yet for you to sign up for the race!:)

Good luck this weekend. I may or may not be there to cheer Cody on (logistics with little kids stinks!)

From Clay on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 13:18:38

If it does rain and snow at least we will all be prepared, that's what we have been doing all winter long!!!:(

From Sylvie on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 14:04:41

WOW oh WOW I know it will be cold but I hope dry.

See you all up there!

Bye bye :)

From Kim on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 16:27:19

I know we've been preparing in awful conditions all winter, but I didn't want to pay money to go run in yucky stuff! If we can at least be dry and have the wind at our backs, (if there must be wind at all). It will be interesting to see what happens. I will just be a bit sad if it is beautiful weather in Provo and terrible weather in Ogden!

Thank you to all of you for your encouragement! I'll be thinking of all of you at some point in the race!

From Brent on Thu, Apr 03, 2008 at 20:06:00

Kim, not to worry, we will be a large pack of WOWs, the weather will be an easy foe, the battle will be our will.
