Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

In preparation for Strider's half in a few weeks I did 14 miles today.  Tom and I just slept until it felt good to get out of bed.  We finally got out the door around 7:30 or so.   Ran into several runners today, some we knew, but many that we didn't recognize.  I am very happy with today's run!  It felt good the whole way!  The last mile I did have to stop and stretch my left knee a couple of times to keep it feeling happy.

I have to thank Tom for rearranging his schedule for me!  He does his hard runs on opposite days so he can run with me on mine.  He uses my hard or long runs as his easy/recovery runs.

Wow Kim! Great run today and great mileage for the week! You are doing so good! You'll do great at Striders Half and I will be there to cheer you in!

Mik'L,

You sound as if you are going to be a spectator. Are you not running it? If not, why?

14 miles! Holy long run, Batman! Is that your longest run since you joined he blog? Great job!

Kim-that's in 2 weeks! I'm not even close to ready. I think one half a year is plenty for me and the best time for me is the summer. So I might try one this summer, but I'll just be a cheering spectator at Striders!

Lybi, Yes, that is my longest since joining the blog. Thanks for noticing and thanks for the Holy long run, Batman! and encouragement!

Mik'L, Don't ever say "JUST" a spectator! I think spectators are a huge part of the whole race experience! I am glad you will be there to cheer me on, if you can talk the hubby in to waiting around long enough for me to come in!

KIM!!! That's an awesome run!!! I'm inching my way to longer runs, but I can't wait to follow in your footsteps (literally) and say that 14 miles felt great! Thanks for always inspiring me!
