Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom didn't have to be to work quite as early today so we were able to enjoy a nice 6 mile run with 5 of it in the bright, warming, loving, embracing, wonderful, amazing SUNSHINE!   Just what the doctor ordered!  There was some wind, especially on one stretch that ALWAYS has wind!  But even that was bright, warming, loving, embracing, wonderful and amazing!  I love when I feel like this. (I think Tom likes it better too!  : ) )  Happy, content and thrilled with life!  I am also starting to get excited for Strider's.  I'm not really planning on any certain time. I just want to be able to run it the best I can.  I've never ran that course, so I'm not quite sure what to expect.  That is why I am not setting any certain goals right now.  I did Painter's in 2:05.  I would like to stay within 5 minutes of that.  Hopefully the same or better, but I just have no idea.

I am now going to head out and do some Easter shopping.  The Easter Bunny always brings my kids a new hat with a little chocolate in it instead of an Easter basket.  I wonder what hats they will get this year?  They always get so excited for them.  One year the Easter Bunny tried doing the baskets for a change and all 5 kids were quite disappointed.  I'm sure my kids will want the Easter Bunny to carry on that same tradition for their future families!

That was a great run wasn't it Kim?! Of course Every run is a GREAT run but some are a little greater than others :)

You will do great at the Striders half. I am not going to be able to make it, my son has a tourney in Twin Falls, Idaho.

That is a cute idea for hats. THe baskets always get so banged up anyway. Great run!

What a great idea to use hats!!! I"m going to try that next year. Luckily, my kids are still young enough that I can change the traditions without any fuss.

What a fun run, it sounds like! You had me loving the thought of sunshine ... and I'm a pale-faced, skin cancer-phobe! (hee, hee)

Very cool tradition w/ the hats! I just might have to steal that idea! I'm excited for you to do Strider's- you are ready! Since I'm not doing it I'll be vicariously running through you & anxious to read your report!
