Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

I miss St. George!  Snow is lovely and all.  And we do need the moisture!  But I loved my weekend in the sun!  Tom and I and our kids had such a great weekend!  We have to give a big thanks to our 17 year old son who really helped out with the kids while we were off running races and having a quick nap a little later!  He took them to breakfast and the Fiesta Fun Center while we did our thing!

Today the snow is falling all around us again!  Luckily, because of the holiday, Tom called me and invited me into the work gym since not many were in at work today.  I did 5 miles on the treadmill and it was not a dreadmill at all!  I thoroughly enjoyed every step of it!  Legs are feeling good after the race and a day of rest.  It's fun to set our eyes on the next goal!  I can see it's important to keep the goals coming or you could really have some kind of a let down after all the hype and excitement of race day.

After the run today I had to go get new tires on the van.  Yesterday on our way home from St. George we realized how bad they are.  I'm glad they brought us home safely!

And now...off to shovel the driveway!  (Did I mention I miss St. George?)

Kim, two great pictures in the same day. I give, what is Tom holding in his hand, your smiling and he is on his knees. It is a blue tennis ball? Ring case (that would explain the big smile) or is it a toy for the dog or cat?

Great picture. Your right on the goals, I also train better with goals.

Stay Cool, back to WOW running, B of BS Rools out.

Hey Brent, The first place winner of each age division was awarded this gigantic blue diamond. My kids caught Tom having a little fun with a 'proposal'. My daughter was quite excited and asked if it was a real diamond. I guess a big fake diamond is better than a tennis ball, but a ring case might have brought a big smile too!

Kim, way to get back out there! I think your right about the goals, they such a great motivator and reward for all the hard work! I'm glad that you enjoy the treadmill, because sometimes they really come in handy!

(BTW, what picture is Brent talking about?)

Wow Kim..way to get right back out there! I was drained for a week after my half! I too have been cracking up at the picture (it's on Tom's blog Michelle). HILARIOUS! Glad you enjoyed St. George! It's pretty nice today. You'll have to come down more often!

Michelle,

What's the latest on your daughter? Are you still at PCMC? I hope all is going the absolute best for her and the rest of you!

Nice to have you join me on the treadmill today Kim! Looked like you weren't any worse for the wear after the great race.

Spring WILL come eventually, right? Looking forward to comfy runs in the cool of the day come spring and summer.

I checked Tom's blog and I can't see the new pic. Marcie must have a new pic. from the half that I can't see either but my computer seems to be slow with that for some reason? I guess that it will catch up sooner or later!

From Kim on Mon, Jan 21, 2008 at 18:16:27

Michelle, I noticed that I have to refresh with the main computer refresh button to get the new pics sometimes. Just using the refresh on this site doesn't seem to do it.

I just read your entry for today. I'm glad things are going well, but it sounds like it is still a touchy situation. It's good we don't know the things we will be faced with each day or we might not want to face it! Continued prayers with you all!
