Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Easy, chilly three miler with a cold nose, cold fingers and Beth.  I don't understand tapers very well.  It almost seems counter productive to run less.  I guess it will be nice to have fresh legs on Saturday, but I hope they remember how to go longer and faster.

Hi Kim,

Yes the olympic oval is the same place. It was $2.50 to run on the track but so worth it. Much better than frozen body parts at the end of your run. You should check it out.

On the legs, they will remember!!!

Kim the taper can be a bit tough but for peak performance is the right thing to do. Like Clay said your legs will remember and will by dying to go longer and faster than ever before. You're going to do great!

I hope they are right, I too feel really weird about this! Not that I got my target miles in yesterday and the last two days I have been running on the treadmill which is also a change so everything seems a little strange, I guess I will just have to trust those with more experience than me!

Kim, one of the WOWs, have a great race saturday, this is icing on the cake, give if a great effort and have fun. Try one trick, when your legs get tired, pick up the pace. I know, it sounds crazy, but often works. (Patti Sue Plummber trick, read it 15 or so years ago) I often practice this trick when I am tired on the treadmill.
