I thought it was going to be raining during my run as I could hear water trickling down the gutter, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the moon was up and the skies were completely clear. I love running just after it's rained, even if it means dodging puddles in the dark. I felt the usual sluggishness starting out, but was a little concerned when I got a little wheezy about a mile and half into the run. It didn't get any worse, however, and disappeared entirely at about the two mile mark. I thought that I'd push the pace on the last half mile or so, but I was feeling pretty good at the three mile mark and started there. I felt a little wobbly at times, but was able to pretty much retain decent form. I'm thinking that next week I'll add a day of hill repeats as I need to start getting my legs ready for the WBR. |
