Felt great this morning. No sign of the knee pain that was bothering me yesterday. Marathon pace felt relaxed and easy. Pushed it a bit harder the last couple of miles (ran up the steep hill on Redwood). I'm planning to push hard this week and do a 20 miler on Saturday in Provo Canyon before starting to taper next week.

Good plan.

While you are pushing hard this week I want you to think of me kicking back while I taper and carbo load. :-)

Actually, I've kind of missed pushing hard, because of my injuries. I can hardly wait until Saturday. For some reason I really enjoy the challenge of finding out what's in me and trying to squeeze it all out (but hopefully not too soon). These next couple of weeks, from the start of TOU to the end of SG, will be very interesting for me.

I wish you continued good luck with your training. You've really been working hard. I'm looking forward to seeing you at SG and watching you easily qualify for Boston. I hope you'll wait around for me to finish so I can congratulate you.
