The story starts in duchesne. The bus breaks down, we have to wait 45 minutes for another one to come get us. In this downtime I caught 3 Pokémon and took a gym. We pulled up to the golf course. The boys race is first, the other teams are already on the line. I race off the bus, and take a hasty dump before the race. I swiftly attach my bib, and get to the line. The race commences basically immediately. Carbon. They changed the course this year, they removed the switchbacks, made it a 2-lap full 5k (supposedly). I went out at about 5th, hung around there the first mile. Clayton and I moved into 1st and 2nd, and ran shoulder to shoulder until about 1.5 miles. I moved forward, in order to stay ahead of this upstart kid from Richfield. I led the rest of the race. Finished with a 16:39. With no warmup, very little competition, full 5k distance, and considering that I wasn't all that tired at the end...great race today.

My mom says I'm "A star." that means I'm at least a one star runner.
