Today was suppose to be a 4.5 mile run with tomorrow being a 4 mile race pace run.  After I run tomorrow I am going to lift and do a spin class so today I wanted to do my race pace.  I know that this will make two hard training days in a row but I wanted to try. Here are my splits 8:17, 8:29, 8:53, 8:39, 8:51 I needed 8:30 miles to be race pace so I didn't quite make it. I think I went out to fast and then couldn't hold it all the way to the end.  After I ran I shoveled the drive way and now my back hurts I guess I should have got out the snow blower.

Kathie -- Are those hilly miles or gungho miles? You're getting so fast. I say you made it on the mp. I could never nail it right on. I don't know how Rhett, Andy, Fly, Jeff those guys do it. I'd count the snow shoveling as major serious strength workout too. Will you take it easy tomorrow please? Goodness, two hard training days in a row...you're womanimal!!! Great run and workout!!!

Oh, Who needs a snow blower when you have children? Ask Teena, she's a master in child-labor, better yet ask Rylee.

Kathie...

Those are indeed great paces. I know all too well the pain from shoveling snow. I've lucked out so far, we havwen't had anough snow to shovel except when it snowed tons back in October, but that melted pretty quickly.

Yea I hate to shovel but it never fails if my husband is going to Phoenix or Hawaii on business is will snow! He is in Phoenix as we speak! He just knows better than to call me from the beach right after I have shoveled... he had to learn the hard way though.

Yea.......like I believe James is afraid of you!!!! He is the type to wait for you to finish shoveling and then call you to tell you how hot he is and how "hard" his day has been. I can hear him laughing the whole time.

Oh....and nice run. I guess I had better get up and head down and train. I have 4.5 to run and some lifting.
