Progression run without much progress.  I started at 6.5 mph, then added .3 mph each mile.  Mile six was 8 mph. Everybody at my house is sick.  I'm sick of it.  Poor Jack, he's all pus and boogers.

Give Jack some eggnog, that's what allie drinks when she gets all boogery. I hope you dodge the bug and everybody gets better soon.

Nice progression run. I like doing those myself. I hope you and the rest of the family stay healthy!

Kam, nice run. Hope the family gets better soon. My heart goes out to Jack; there's nothing worse than seeing the kids sick. Take care, stay well, and look after the family.

The only thing worse than sick kids, is sick parents. So where are you going to run your sub-3:00: hour marathon? and when?

Thanks for the kind thoughts. So far I feel all right. We may be turning the corner.

Tom, I don't know the answer to your questions. For starters, I need to build some more foundation. Mentally, I need to get used to running in the sixes, and not be intimidated by the pace, or proud of it, either. It needs to become routine, even run-of-the-mill.

If/when I end up with some extra time on my hands, I'll ramp up to a more aggressive training schedule. For now, steady maintaining feels right.
