I guess this week 8 is the new 6.2.

After 5 miles in the 7-7.6 range, I did 2 @ 8, then cooled down for 1. Jens joined me to watch the fire truck show. (Chicago Fire) When he was 2, we were hooked on 3rd Watch. He would nap late in the afternoon, so he was always up with us at night. Our tv was in a windowless basement room, so while we were down with Jens bouncing off the walls, throwing balls, wrestling, etc, the other kids were sleeping 2 flights up. Now he's 15, wants to drive all the time, and doesn't bounce off walls, but crashes through them.

Anyway, it was a funny juxtaposition of memories. 13 years is a long time. I am becoming old.

Like Jen, the short form of Jennifer with an s at the end. It isn't short for anything. There aren't too many guys running around with the name Jens. I heard it on my mission, and liked it. Turns out it pops up frequently in my family tree.

3rd Watch was a great show. I'm sorry to hear Jens crashes through walls. Peyton is 14 and takes Driver's Ed this summer. Hopefully he'll keep his crashes confined to his pillow at night.

Nice 8. I'm still waiting to see when your 2013 mileage will top mine as me running more is an anomaly.

My husband pronounces it Yens... Kinda strange, guess it's Danish.

Hopefully no more crashing into walls for Jens. Oh the joys of driving.

Sounds an awful lot like my 2 year old (the bouncing off the walls thing). Now I know what I have to look forward to in 13 years....I'll start saving my money now.
