Bye bye, Gina.  I'm not sorry to see you go.

This Monday edition of the TM 10k was tough.  I'm sick again, but the throat culture was negative.  I was hoping for 2 lines so I could get anitbiotics and feel fine by Wednesday.  Instead, my immune system has to duke it out with yet another bug.

Jack was up, so I rearranged all the couches so the TM was blocked off so he couldn't get a floor burn.  Jens wanted to watch Biggest Loser, which was good, cuz Jack is such a good climber, he was teetering on the edge trying to leap into my arms while I'm running.  We all survived, though.  That kid is so cute.

Sounds like more of an adventurous 10k than most. My little guy loves to put cars and trains on the belt. Then my little dog barks at the TM while its running. It's tempting not to put them both in the kennel.

Sounds like Jens is a helper and a good companion lately. Good thing he has a few more years till he leaves the house. He's quite the tennis player. Do you think he'll play in college?

Yep, see ya Gina.

Dang it!! I haven't finished watching BL.... Spoiler Alert!!! :)

From Kam on Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 21:06:14 from 65.130.20.199

Tara, Jens is a baller, but his parents aren't rich enough to provide him the coaching opportunities he would need to take it to the next level. He did make the high school team as a freshman, though.

Sorry, Britta. It was an accident...Even knowing the outcome, BL is worth watching this season.

HAHAHA! I am imagining him trying to jump into your arms. Kids are funny.

We were so so so happy when Gina hit the road, goodbye Gina! She was trying to set herself up to get the at home prize, ohhh I hope she doesn't!

Feel better soon.

I'm sad that Gina is gone. No drama = few comments on FRB. Sniff, sniff. Why didn't they run a marathon this year with the final four? Lame. Anyone can climb a mountain. (At least that's what I told my kids. They just stared at me with the "you're such a dork" look. Love that look.)

From Tara on Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 09:01:14 from 69.171.187.27

I agree, anyone can climb a mountain. A marathon on the other hand, is way more dramatic. No looks here Russ, you speak the truth!

From Kam on Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 09:33:04 from 68.66.163.179

I suspect the show's medical staff finally convinced the producers that having 4 overweight people who have only been exercising for 3-4 months complete a marathon was a bad idea. (notice I said "complete", not "run")

From Russ on Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 09:50:39 from 74.114.3.253

Kam, I think you're spot on. I'm just glad they used to do that or I'm not sure I'd be on this blog. Watching them complete a marathon in fall 2009 popped the lightbulb over my head where I realized I only needed to complete 26.2, not qualify for Boston the first time. Sad to see it go for BL (but not sad that Gina the whiner is gone).

From Kam on Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 11:40:49 from 68.66.163.179

Bec, I'm not sure if Gina's strategy will pay off. But it's smart. She has a much better chance at the 100k than she would competing against Danni and 2 very large men for the 250k. I hope she doesn't win; she's got plenty of money from her prosperous legal practice.

From Rachelle on Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 13:06:27 from 199.190.170.31

Bye, bye Gina! I may have shouted with triumph loud enough for my entire complex to hear.....or maybe they just knocked on the door because they know I'm hoarding girl scout cookies....the verdict is still out.
