So, again, I was a couple minutes after the gun so the first couple miles had a little more weaving than would be ideal. But it wasn't too bad. I wanted to run a smart race and not get hurt. My last couple times running St. George I've had weird knee pain (only on the race day and gone by the next Monday) that has slowed down the race. I succesfully avoided the knee pain and played it safe a couple times when I felt a little pain in my left heel. I'm tired and a little stiff (now on Monday) but not too bad. It's a new PR for me and I think this should be a good stepping stone to faster times in the future. I'd like to train more consistently and get more miles in the next year and see how things play out.

Here were my mile splits:

 7:13

 7:21

 7:06

 6:43

 7:07

 6:30

7:24 (I adjusted my shoelace here. I need to keep my left shoe a little looser at the start next time.)

 7:24

 7:42

 7:07

 7:41 (Quick stop here.)

 7:31

 6:58

 7:02

 6:51

 6:55

 6:59

 6:54

 7:29

 7:28

 6:31

 6:59

 6:40

 6:45

 6:58

 6:41

.2: 1:29 (This seems slower than I was going at this point. But who knows.)

I feel pretty good about this race. But even better about what I think I can do in the future with better training.

Hi. Way to go on the 3:05. Did you happen to run with the 3:05 pacer? Well done. : D

Thanks, Julie. I didn't run with the pacer, because I wanted to keep it open to going faster or slower, depending on how it went (and I didn't see the pacer either...). Hope you enjoy the rest and then good luck getting ready for Boston!
