Left ankle was pretty sore after the race. Iced it all day, feels better today but still questionalbe. I kind of knew it was going to be this way after the race and told myself on the way home that if this is the end for the year I have had a great year. I had a pr in the half and the marathon, which I haven't had in 7 years. I have meet alot of great people and have had some great training runs. So if SG is out I will be ok with it, of course I hope it is not but I can't contoll if my ankle is going to be injured or not. Watched the mens marathon last night and scraped the ankle and calves.
I will take it by ear this week and probably do alot of crosstraining. We will see.... | Comments(5) |

Got up this morning not really expecting to run. I took the dog out for a mile to test out the ankle, felt alittle twingy at first but once it warmed up it felt ok. So I went out for another 5 after and actually felt pretty good post hobble. Still am watching the ankle really close. Had it on ice all weekend and scraped it everyday. Just happy I was able to run considering how sore it was all weekend:)

OH man I think my son is getting to heavy to be taking on 10 mile runs. It was hard, I should have just split my run in to two. Plus my ankle didn't like it past 7 miles.

On my own for speed today. The plan was to do some sort of tempo run in the canyon. I went when the kid where in school. Started at Will pit stop and warmed up for 3 miles then started into a 2 miles tempo up the canyon 7:01, 7:16 for those 4:50 break then another 2 mile tempo the other direction so down the canyon 6:35, 6:37 with a 3:15 break then I wanted another 2 mile tempo but broke into 2x1 miles cause I was getting tired and had no one there to push me through it. 6:38 (1:47 break) & 6:41. These last two are out of the canyon where it is more just flat. So all in all I am pleased that I finished this work out. Ankle alittle sore.
BTW- i went off the triangles and not the garmin, although my garmin was right on as well.

Went to Dr. Brady and had him work on the ankle some today. My left lateral soulus is super tight a result of the ankle. He says I need new shoes, that I am not a spring chicken anymore:) And he really likes how I have been doing barefoot running and wants me to get doing it again. | Comments(2) |

Got up super early to meet Michelle at Sasha's. She is doing a long run and I thought I would give her some company in the begining so she didn't have to run alone in the dark before she met with the boys. Had a great run, miss running durning the week with her. I miss running with people in genral during the week so it was so nice to have conversation. I wanted to go further but my foot was sore from being worked on so I decided to be done, know that is being disaplined right?:)

The plan for today was to run half outside and half it the pool but the pool was closed for it's annual matience. So I ran 2 miles barefoot in the grass and then went up the canyon for the rest. Felt good and the canyon was nice and cool.

I got a massage last night and she worked my ankle and arch really good so it was sore the whole run which was really annoying and make me worry. But what do you do. I met at the mouth of the canyon with Me and Amber. I wanted to get Me through her first 20 miler because she is running TOU and it is now or never. She did very well. We went up to the girls camp and back.
