14 miles, from my house to the canal and up to just below 2nd dam. Out at 7:30-7:45 pace, back at 7:30-7:15 pace, with a final mile of 6:53. I felt like absolute crap the first 3-4 miles- stomach cramps, wanted to puke, bad headache. Not at all how I normally feel. I really thought of turning around at 4 miles but decided to keep going. Felt better on the way back, at least a bit. Still have the headache. 1:43:53 total time.
I will try to catch up my blog for the past 2 weeks from my vacation. I did pretty good running the first week (including some gorgeous runs and very hard runs) around Zions and Bryce. One run was 8 miles with 2300 feet ascent, 2300 descent. One run had 850 feet gain in the first mile. Fun! I tweaked my knee pretty bad backpacking in the Grand Canyon the second week and didn't run again due to concern for it. It twinged my whole run today.

8 miles on canyon river trail. Easy. Nice weather, and the leaves have come out so everything is green.

18 miles. From my house to canal up the canyon to 3rd dam- just over 10 miles in about 1:15. Then Paul, Dan, Cody, and James picked me up and we drove to Temple fork, where we ran about 7.5 miles. Pretty slow on the way up, faster down. I had never done that trail before- it's pretty nice. Finished off with 2 hours of ultimate frisbee.
