AM- Ran 5 miles behind GE.  The male turkey charged and chased me again several times and got close enough that I had to grab a branch and charge back at him, yelling.  Twice.  Kind of funny.  Then 3 miles on the track- planned to do some speed, but my bum ankle hurt so much I could barely run by the end.

Lunch- Planned to run 10-12 but quit at 3 due to ankle.  Then some xt.  My internet self-diagnosis is Peroneal Tendonitis.  Anyone ever had this?

I've never had tendonitis, but I have tweaked it. In one instance it was a bit painful, the other instance I was able work through it with easy runs. Is it when you push off? Like you don't have full strength? It can almost feel like the ankle because it is related in that it (the per. tendon) makes your foot pronate. If you stand on one foot and go up on your toes it kind of feels like it is collapsing. I'm going to guess right foot.

The usual regimen helped me (pain reliever and ice on the side and bottom of the foot), but if you have some hard-soled shoes they actually help (as strange as that might sound). Not your Hokas! When it happens I wear my Keen sandals. Good luck!

Kinda. When I rolled my ankle at WR50 two years ago, part of the fallout was Peroneal Tendon pain for quite some time. I was a mess with my hip and ankle issues at the time, but IIRC compression socks helped with reducing the irritation and plenty of calf work (stretch, roller, raises). But what do I know?

Thanks so much, guys.
