I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. AM 6 on GE trail. 8 or 9 deer. I finished the Hardcore History WWI series and am now onto the Persian series. Looking forward to hitting the final one, number 60. It's the only one I've never listened to.

Work continues to deteriorate. Lots of key people are leaving for other companies, on top of the layoffs. Jim Harper, who I've run thousands of miles with on the LR group, is leaving, plus Mike Fedor. I feel like the company may enter a death spiral at some point, where enough key people are gone that the remainder can't do the work, causing them to leave. This isn't fun.

Lunch- frisbee game. Another hard game- we got a little chippy. A few of the points were so long that when the score was 4-3, we said next point wins. My team scored, so we won 4-4. That was a first.

Sorry about the work struggles, that makes it hard to spend your day in such a down environment. INL is and DOE-ID may be hiring! Come to IF!

sorry. that is tough. the company i used to work for was going to hell in a handbasket for several years and it was just like what you describe -- people jumping ship or slowly getting laid off. luckily i made my escape when i moved to atlanta. they announced their shutdown about 6 months later. it can really take a toll on you when there's so much negative/stressful energy in the workplace. i hope it improves for you, or hope you can find an awesome gig elsewhere.

Thanks, you two. I enjoy my job, especially the gym in my building so I can run trails and play frisbee. That's a real highlight. So I try to focus on that.
