I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Almost 2 hours of glorious ultimate frisbee today.  Great weather.

PM- Evening run, 55 degrees, up Logan canyon river trail with the trees changing to their autumn colors, and a light drizzle.  Can life get any better than this?  I propose that it cannot.  There were clouds midway up the mountains, and just as the sun was setting a huge rainbow appeared for 5 minutes, stretching from one side of the canyon to the other.  Wish I had a camera so I could have shared the beauty with all of you.  Days like today are the reason I run- for the love of running and for the beauty of nature.  Perfect.

How's the foot? I am sure it felt good running on soft grass! You will probably be rained on pretty good this afternoon.

Better get the run in before the rain turns to snow...

Leaving now, before it gets too dark.

Jaren never got sick, only me, and I never threw up. I did have about everything else though, fever, sore throat, cough, sinus infection, etc. Sounds like you caught something else, not half as bad as what I have had. I wish I would have thrown up because that usually gets out of your system quicker.

Post marathon sickness is pretty common, I hope you feel better soon, and it does wipe you out for two weeks like me.

I guess this is to be expected when you get 10 kids together- someone gets sick...

From James on Sun, Sep 23, 2007 at 12:46:52

I ment to say that I hope it does NOT wipe you out for very long!

Allison said you might be heading down to St. George in two weeks?

From Jon on Sun, Sep 23, 2007 at 14:32:22

Yeah, Marci and I are planning to come down and stay with Logan's parents. Can't miss the action...
