PM- 5 easy miles with McKinley in the stroller, 41:00.  No muscle soreness, which means I lost a bet with my massage therapist (I bet I would have sore quads, she bet I would be fine.  She promised 30 free minutes today if I was sore).  Minimal fatigue- less than last week at this time.  The bruise on the bottom of my left foot is still sore and my right foot has a few blisters, but overall in great shape 2 days post-marathon.

So, are you going to be in town this weekend for a Saturday run? We don't race this week, so I have 100 minutes to go long on Sat. and want some company! Plus, since you just ran a marathon, I have better chances of not getting thrashed by you this week... :D

Nice race Saturday, I figure it's making sitting on your butt watching the Broncos that much sweeter tonight!

Ruth- yep, actually my work running club is running up Blacksmith Fork canyon, and everyone is welcome to come. Paul and Cody are coming. Paul is running 18 miles or so, Cody is doing 22. You are welcome to join. Oh, did I mention there will be free gatorade every 3 miles, plus bagels, fruit, etc at the end? Let me know if you want to come- we could give you a ride, if you need. Pick up ~6:10 am or so.

Sounds awesome! Running plus free food! Can't get much better than that! How far I run just depends on how fast we're running... probably 17 miles? Maybe more? I'd rather go a little long than have to add on at the end. And I'm car-less, so I will need a ride.

Ruth- we'll plan on you joining us. Email me your address at jkallen13 at hotmail dot com and we'll figure out when/where to pick you up.

Amazing recovery Jon. Crazy amazing actually.

From Jon on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:16:46

Clyde, it is much easier to recover from trail runs- less pounding, I have found. Easier, but not easy. I'm still being cautious this week- I'd rather skip a BW than risk injury.
