I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

12 miles, from my house to the canal, then 2.5 times along the canal.  Wanted to do a moderate, even pace and the canal (1.33 miles long) is great for that.  Started at 7:15/mile pace, worked down to ~6:50 pace for most of the workout, then dropped to 6:40-6:45 for a few miles.  The last mile was 6:20 and I felt pretty good- fast leg turnover and no aches or pains, not even in my knees.  Total time 1:23:40, 6:58 pace.

Question- my goal marathon pace is 6:00/mile.  So, what would be my threshold pace and VO2 max pace?

For you goal pace:

threshold: 5:42

V02: 5:15

However, based off your race result last weekend (even though it was 95%), I would expect currently your threshold is around 6:00/mile and your V02 is around 5:30/mile. So a key for the summer is to bridge that gap between your current condition and your goal condition.

Is threshold your lactate threshold (aerobic vs anaerobic)? And VO2 is about your all out mile-5k pace?

Yes, threshold is "lactic threshold" (LT). Also known as "aerobic threshold" (AT). It's generally defined as the pace you can run for an hour, so usually 15K or half marathon race pace. V02Max pace is generally the same as 5k race pace. There's heart rates associated with them, but that's all nerd-talk.

LT is usually about 85% of max heart rate. VO2 Max is maximal aerobic capacity, probably 80-95% of max heart rate. VO2 Max is pretty much the stage inbetween LT and going anaerobic. Like Paul said, your LT is probably 15K to 1/2 marathon pace, and VO2 Max pace would be closer to an all out 5K pace. But it all depends on what studies or theories you read.
