Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Married with 3 children. Work as a school counselor.

Treadmill - 40:28

I jogged five minutes barefoot (in socks actually), then did 15 minutes of easy core, weights and stretching. After that, I jumped back on the treadmill for 35 more pretty easy minutes.

9 p.m. - should consider running earlier

A.M. - Run to work - 24:58

Carried a backpack with my shoes and a text book, which slowed me down a bit, but not much.

P.M. - Run home + treadmill - 37:15

Ran home at a steady pace. When I got home, Nica was asleep, so I did a few more minutes on the treadmill until she woke up. Achilles sore. The "Born to Run" inspired barefoot running is probably not good for a 180 pounder with chronic achilles issues.

A.M. - Run to work - 18:59

Dropped my car off at the shop and ran to work at a quicker than usual pace, mainly because I was late.

P.M. - Run home - 25:48

Unmotivated. Felt ok but didn't really have the desire to add on more time. In a running lull right now for sure.
