Today kicked my butt!! We head up through the golf course for my favorite run. It is worth all the work for the views but I almost didn't make it today. The first 3.5 miles are uphill and today we had a head wind to contend with as well. It was very SSLLOOWW!! Our splits were 10:02, 9:41, 10:20, 9:05. You then get the views and to run down hill home. Our down hill splits were 8:12, 8:14, 8:12 & 8:33 for the last .5. Even these times were slower that I thought that they would be. Overall a good run with a lot of work & hopefully at somepoint we will see the benefits.

Happy Running!!

Sounds fast to me! Good job getting out and fighting the cold temps and wind! So have you been running 7 miles a day for long? I noticed lately you've even been doing 7.5. I'm SO impressed by you!! How do you have the energy? I still struggle going over 5.5 on a regular basis...

Christi,

I was worried when we up to 7 daily, but it has gone really well. I was really tired the first couple of weeks but I have actually started feeling better than when I was running less. Who Knew!!

Jody, 10 commando points today. Your increase in miles is making you even tougher.

By the way, I agree with you comments on more miles, as your body adjusts, a couple more miles a day does seem easier. I have went from 50 per week to mid 60s of the last ten weeks and am also surprised also.

Keep up the great work, Stay cool, not frozen, b of bs rools out...
