Nice easy recovery run today.  I was unsure what to expect after yesterday, but I felt great except my dinner that I ate at 9:00 pm last night.  I tried really hard to keep the pace easy and it was harder than I thought it would be.

We leave for New York tonight and we are getting excited.  My husband is going to baseball nirvana for 5 days - Mets, Red Sox and the All - Star game at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.  I am tagging along for a couple of games and relaxing at the hotel.  Not sure how comfortable I am running alone in NYC, so I am preparing for the treadmill and we will see what happens.

I'm SOOOO jealous! I absolutely LOVE New York. Where are you staying? It's actually quite safe to run if it's not too early/late. Clyde and I ran in Central Park (separately) several times. The baseball games sound like a blast too! I hope you are going to see a Broadway show! I wish I was going!

Mik'l - We are staying in Time Square. No show this time - I saw Wicked when I was in London. Monday was the best day for us to go and of course no shows on Monday. I have been a couple of times but my husband has only been once and just had a couple of hrs, so I am excited to show him around.

Have a very fun trip! So much fun for you two. You have become quite the traveler the past couple years!

It's feels really safe to run the Hudson River Parkway from about 24th down to Tribeca. It's a nice run except that it's on flagstone and a little tough on the joints. I like to run in the park, but don't know it well enough to go alone. Enjoy you trip!!! I'll be there too in 3 weeks.

How fun!! Take some fun pictures! Running in Central Park sounds like a necessary tourist "done it once" event. Go for it!!!

Oh WOW! Have a great time in NY. Hope you can pull hubby away from the games long enough for shopping or a show? I agree with Laura- I bet there will be some great running to be had!

Have a blast in NYC! I would feel safe to run as long as it was a populated place. Enjoy the humidity! :-)
