Glad to be back home -- hopefully I will get to stay home for a few weeks before the "big" trip.   Went out with Paula and we ran the big block.  The second mile is all up hill and my leg was feeling really good today so I was able to push just a little.  The rest is flat and downhill and felt really good.  I am very excited about todays run but have to remember to still take it easy and not rush back to fast.

I am looking at my very sad pathetic mileage over the last few weeks.  Not very good at all.  Hopefully todays run is the start of the road back not just fluke.

Any miles are good miles in my opinion! You still doing a July Marathon, Jody? Or are you going to concentrate on the October one? I think for sure my June 1st one is nixed and I'll just have to train hard and race in October myself.

Hang in there Jody and keep trying to get just the miles in. Just groove into it and not force anything.

Benn- I am still planning on the July Marathon but we will see. I definitely will not push it if I am not 100%. I would rather take a year slow than miss running for the rest of my life.

Steve - Thanks for the comments. My plan is to take it pretty easy until I get back from India (Mememorial Day) and then see what I can handle and go from there. My main goal for 2008 is St. George and was originally to BQ. I would still love for that to happen but I am okay with a good time considering the way this year is going. Any advice would be great.

Hey Jody! You're speed still looks pretty good considering the time you've taken off for injury. I think you'll be fine for the races later this year. I guess the "Big" trip is India? That's so exciting!

Jody, what is your BQ time? You never know, St George is your best shot.

Brent - My BQ time is 3:40:59. My birthday is 3 wks later and then it would be 3:45:59. What a bummer!
