Today we had the BBK Half Marathon. Cheryl had a great route and Michelle N's husband was a great waterboy! My plan was to warm up for the first three miles and then try to be at marathon pace for the rest. We were up hill until mile 5 and then down until mile 8. At this point we were by the Daybreak temple and heading up the hill. We were downhill/flat until mile12 and at that point it was a climb back to Bingham High. I felt really good the entire time which was encouraging. Cheris and I ran together through mile 8 and then she took off and I finished on my own. I finished at 1:50 which is 17 seconds slower than where I should be at the halfway point in SGM, so this made me happy. My ave pace for the 10 miles after the warm up was 7:58 - 14 seconds faster that what I need to average in SGM. I cooled down with Cheris for 1 mile and then ran 2 more on the new soft track. A great workout today - Thanks guys!!

20 min ice bath afterwards - so nice.

We are spending the rest of the day at Lagoon for my work party - me and 4 kids because my husband is out of town.........it should be interesting.
