I ran in India today on the hotel treadmill.  I have no idea how Tom did 10 miles a day when he was here - it was a sauna.  I really do not think that I have ever sweated that much EVER!  I was dripping wet.  It was a good run and when I converted the kilometers over to miles I was surprised it was 5 miles.  I have no idea on a pace but it felt rather quick  5K of it was in less that 25 min.   I followed up with 10 min on the stair stepper and 10 min on the bike.  More treadmilling tomorrow.

I noticed that my the banner advertisement changed to an Indian related ad.

Happy Running!

Youre back in INDIA?! LUCKY!!

From Jody on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 07:11:12

Benn, Yep I am back for two more weeks. It is always great to be here even though I miss my family. Right now the weather is 80 - 90 degrees, much better than the snow back home.

oh man! You mean you didn't smuggle them into the country in the overhead compartment? Drats! :-p No seriously though, I can imagine it must stink to miss the hubby and the kiddos :(

From Jody on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 07:22:03

I do miss them but at the same time it is nice to have a little down time. But I only enjoy it for a few days and then I am ready to get back with them. Hope the wedding plans are going well.

Oh thanks! We are keeping busy! Did you see my photos of our newest addition to our family?! I think it was on the entry for the 8th

From Jody on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 07:24:06

Nope, I will have to go check them out.

Oh my gosh! She is the cutest thing ever! Too bad she will not stay that size. How fun! I love dogs but do not like the work, so no dogs (or any pet) for us.

OH yeah we know :D. Hehe. She ate 2 one pound bags of "sample food" as a snack! Our other St. was like 180 I think and on the "smaller end" of the scale!

From Jody on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 07:34:40

Wow! But they are good dogs an so very cute! Your mom is much nicer than I am.

Hi Jody -- I am glad you have a working treadmill!! It is such a challenge to run while you travel (especially in Asia).

Enjoy the food -- I would love to be somewhere that has as much vegetarian food as India!

India? are you kiddin me? I was jealous of everyone running as it is but to be in another country? Awesome! Double jealousy coming from my bed! lol

From Cheryl on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 13:15:02

Hey, have fun in India. Sounds like you'll have fun on the treadmill. Could you run outside if you wanted, or is that too difficult? See you when you get back--hopefully I'll be back with the group by then.

From Cheryl on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 14:16:40

Unfortunately it is not safe for me to run outside alone. I wish I could. Can't wait to see you when I get back.

From Jody on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 14:19:07

Oops that was me, Jody. Apparently I forgot my own name.

From Michelle N. on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 14:20:14

Great running Jody! And you didn't think you'd run much there. You haven't missed a beat! Keep it up and thanks for your comment the other day:) We all miss you:(

From Brent on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 18:55:12

Jody, sweat is good, real good, take a bucket with you and plenty of liquids. Commando points: 100 for running when running would be easy to skip. You'll soon be back WOW running.

Hey Jody, looks like I am going to go to Boston too. So keep me in mind when everyone is talking about hotel rooms. Thanks! :) p.s. I'm jealous of the warm weather you are experiencing!
