Day 2

  • Took the gondola from Grindelwald to First (this is our honeymoon after all - no unnecessary suffering!)
  • Hiked to Lake Bachalpsee, then to Faulhorn, then across Schwarzwaldalp, then back to Schreckfeld. There was driving rain at times (we ran those parts), and cows... cows everywhere.
  • Dinner under the Nordwand. I regret not trying the horse special.

The trip got exponentially BETTER from here. This ended up being one of the more boring days :-)

I'll slowly catch up over the next week as I get through my photos.

Love the the cows with their bells. I did a cycling tour there a few years ago -and I remember stretches of road where all you heard was the wind and the sound of cowbells.

The photos looks outstanding!

The cows are really something. The are the trail bosses, that's for sure!
