AM - 13 miles.

PM - Main Chute w/ Andrea [2400']. Skinned to the base and then booted the rest of way. I really needed this one since it felt like I hadn't skied in forever and was starting to get grumpy. A thunderstorm with copious amounts of lightning was just minutes away as we skied off the top - perfect timing!

Hey Jake..... this guy is from my town. I don't know him as he graduated High School 24 yrs after me, but I was wondering if you or Andrea might have run into him in your backcountry endeavors?

Yes! I've been following Aaron's endeavors on Instagram all winter and while we haven't officially met - there were a couple days (including one just a couple weeks ago) where I realized in hindsight that we crossed paths during the day. What he is doing is really hard. Fun, but hard. Much tougher than cranking out 140 mile weeks simply because of the amount of time involved and the variable weather you deal with when you are skiing for so many hours every single day.

I'm a little jealous that as our season is winding down, he's hitting Colorado now for what is shaping up to be an epic May/June at their higher elevations.

So cool! I love this stuff.
