AM - 10 miles. 12 x 400m (200m jog) at 5K effort on the dirt track near my parent's house. No marks on the track, inside lane muddy and not runnable... Rift Valley style... except for the slower pace! Averaged 73.3 seconds for whatever distance these were. 3 up, 3 down (ran back w/ my Dad).

Merry Christmas!!!

I predict that you will be the only one on the blog who did a track workout today.

Merry Christmas to the Krong's!

We're probably the only people who waited until 1pm on Christmas day to open presents. Lower key holiday without my sister, the Christmas princess, here. Last year I had to get my run finished by 7am. This year, started around 9, then helped my folks w/ some yardwork before we even came inside :-)

Merry Christmas to the Murphys too!

You'd like this dirt track they live near, by the way. It feels very old school. Who knows if its even 400 meters around. And who cares?! I just drew a line in the dirt with my foot on both sides of the track.

If it's a dirt track, I'd say 440 yards.

I'm guessing you're right... meters probably weren't invented yet when this thing was built.

It's old enough they measured it in cubits. My HS track was a cinder 440 yard beast. Love it. Merry Christmas.

Nice week, Jake. I, also, enjoy dirt tracks. Sounds fun. Merry Christmas!
