AM - 8.7 miles easy. Early start (4:45am) before our flight back to SLC. Ran along the waterfront in Long Beach, looping back to the hotel and picking up Andrea for the last 4 miles. The fog moved in as we were running, which was both cool and creepy.

PM - 7.3 miles easy.

Some race photos I stole from the web...

Did you beat the guy with the pink socks and shoes?

Cool pictures.

Haha yes I did... he has actually run low 1:03-something for the 1/2 marathon and 13:44 for 5K... but I said, no man in pink socks is beating me!!! :-) I mean, Andrea has those same socks!

Looks like a great race to be a part of!

It has to feel good to recover quickly enough to run almost 9 miles the next morning. Way to go man!

I feel pretty rested from taking it relatively easy the 7-10 days leading up to the race. I won't do anything hard for 3-4 more days, but I feel good enough to get the volume back up (actually I'm looking forward to it!)

So glad you beat him. ha ha! I have those same socks too. :)
