Ah, another one of those controversial blog posts. You're always trying to stir the pot.

I thought about getting rid of the AM PM to save space and just write "12 / 7" but then everyone might think kilometers and get confused.

Have you ever thought of just running 19 miles and calling it a day?

Great question. It prompted me to look through 3 years of excel spreadsheets. On 8/27/2011 I ran 19 miles in the morning and 0 in the afternoon. I've actually done very few 19 mile runs... usually its easy to stretch those out to 20.
The other closest days were 12/23/2011 (20/0) and 4/6/2013 (18/0).
This was a worthwhile exercise, though. I realized that last fall is when I stopped taking my mileage out to decimal points and started truncating to the lowest half-mile. Correlates with about the amount of time Andrea has been injured. I couldn't get away with that before :-)

19 really isn't a popular daily distance. 30k seems to be popular among trail runners, but that's a different discussion all together.

30K in trail running can be anywhere between 16 and 22 miles.

Oops that was me. But I think she would agree anyways.

:) Good point. The k just means approximately. Not sure what the 30 represents. I think it just means more than 26.2.
