Anyone see the new course for the Provo City 5K? I gotta say that I am a fan. Straight shot down University, no tangents! That will be a fast, but not overly-aided one.

umm you may have just enticed me to run this. I run that street a lot and it is definitely a PR type of course!

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 09:27:47 from 155.100.226.54

According to my math, it comes out pretty close to what a flat sea-level 5K on the track would be.

I think decisions on whether to run this (for both of us) should be made AFTER the little race in Boston, though :-)

From Rachelle on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 09:35:52 from 199.190.170.29

Yes indeed! I actually promised myself at least a month off of racing/hard training after Boston (I'm not signed up for anything until June 23rd). But we shall see...:)

Did you decide about the 5k Friday?

From Andrea on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 09:38:15 from 72.37.244.100

Talk about a fast 5K!!

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 09:39:46 from 155.100.226.54

No race on Friday - that way I can get in quality workouts tomorrow and Saturday. I think it would have been pushing it to leave work @ noon anyways :-)

I'll get my chance to run fast on the track in Portland this summer.

Does your TI-85 do that math?

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 10:24:42 from 155.100.226.54

I used my abacus

From Rob on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 10:28:14 from 206.71.84.68

Well that works for you, my abacus doesn't have enough beads for my pace.

FYI!

34 more inches is reasonable.

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 15:47:06 from 155.100.226.54

Barely over 300 inches for the year... wow... last year I think we were definitely in the 600s at this point.

All I want at this point is 2 weekends of sunny, warm, spring skiing after Boston. I hope there is enough snow left for that! :-)

How on earth am I going to run the half AND the 5k? I wanna...dang.

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 16:44:38 from 155.100.226.54

You get to run that same 5K after 10 more hard miles. You are the real winner here, Lily!!!

Hey where are you parking at sugarhouse for teh workout tomorrow afternoon?

From Jake K on Wed, Mar 28, 2012 at 18:23:05 from 67.177.21.60

I park right by the Highland HS sign, near the soccer field. White jeep w/ a red rudolph nose on the front (seriously) and saucony logo on the back. I'll be there at 5 assuming nothing weird happens towards the end of the day at work.

sweet see you there
