AM - 8 miles. Met the Alta XC boys up at Alta. Ran the road up to Albion Basin, a couple loops around the campground, then back down (I got dropped hard on the descent by Kramer!). Other than a few random snow drifts, its all clear up there. The rest of the snow will be melted by the weekend. First run of the summer at 9000 feet is always less conversational on the way up :-)

Afterwards, since I was already up in LCC, I decided to make a little jaunt (hike-jog) up to Red Pine Lake. Ate some breakfast and then headed back. [~6 miles r/t, 2000']

PM - 5 miles w/ Andrea (bike).

Red Pine is probably my favorite Wasatch lake. Reminds me of the Rae Lakes in the Sierras.

With temps well over 100 in my yard those pictures look heavenly. I just want to go lay in that snow.

Jake,

I could use some advice. I am having sciatic nerve pain and was wondering if you could tell me some stretches to help with this?

Thank You,

From Jake K on Wed, Jun 26, 2013 at 06:29:54 from 67.177.11.154

Barry - are you dealing w/ piriformis syndrome? If so, there are a lot of examples on youtube. Unfortunately I don't really know a ton about sciatic pain, so I'm no expert. There is another technique called "nerve glides" that might provide some relief - Andrea has used that in the past. You might want to give that a look as well.

Utah Rules!

(And so do your pictures)

Sorry to be out of touch for so long. I've been in an internet wasteland. We stayed at Ann's uncle's house last night which is like staying in 1988.

You can always count on teenagers on the downhills!

I know you've got your eye on that little peak in the distance. Way to get up and out!
