Went to Ky to visit family over the weekend and didn't run.  I had planned on getting out while I was down there but just got tied up and never made it out.  Running for the month of July was bad and I need to get back on track.  Now that the vacation and travel have settled down I should be able to get back into a better routine.

I had early morning meetings so ran at lunch today so it was warm (78) and windy.  I felt pretty good starting out but ran the last 4 miles into the wind so the combination of wind and warm weather slowed me down a little.  The main goal this week is just to get in a run every day and try to get back to normal mileage.  Anything above that is a bonus.

PM:  Ran 1.5 miles with my daughter at the track.  After we took turns running the 100.  It has been a long time since I tried that.  I ended up a little over 15 seconds so not quite as fast as the last time I tried it which was probably high school.

We had thunderstorms rolling through this morning so ran inside on the TM.  It has been awhile since I have ran on the TM.  I didn't miss it!  I felt pretty good this morning but just ran along easily.  My legs were a little tired toward the end but overall a good run.  I would like to get out for another run this afternoon but will have to see how the schedule works out.

It was warm (76) and humid today.  Another easy run.  I am just trying to get in consistent runs this week and try to get back into my normal routine.  So far so good.  Nothing really exciting today.  I had some soreness in my legs at the start.  I am not sure where that came from but they felt much better by the time I finished.

Pretty nice day (72, less humid).  I was a little stiff getting started today so just ran easy the first couple of miles.  I started feeling better so picked it up a little from there but still just ran easy.  I have been trying to get in a routine of finishing my runs stronger so I am starting slower and then gradually picking up the pace as I go.  Today I added a fast finishing by running the last 1.5 at around MP or a little faster.  Ended up being a good run and felt good afterward:

PM:  Got the whole family to go to the track tonight.  I ran 1.25 miles with my daughter.  She wasn't feeling good so we cut the run a little short.  My wife and daughter walked while we ran.  Good time.

My wife is going to a women's conference tomorrow morning so I thought I would go a little longer today since I won't have as much time in the morning.  It was a beautiful morning for running (60, no wind).  I started off easy just wanting to get the miles in.  As I went along I gradually picked up the pace.  The first few miles were in the 8:15 range and the last few miles were in the 7:45 range so it worked out to be a good run.  Felt pretty good the whole way and just enjoyed the beautiful morning.

Another great morning today (66, light breeze, low humidity).  I was a little stiff this morning after running a little longer yesterday.  Today's run was just focus on recovery and keep it really easy.  I loosened up quickly and just cruised along.  A few times I noticed myself picking up the pace and I had to settle myself down and remember to keep it easy.  My wife was going to a women's conference this morning so had to get back earlier than normal.  Made it back with 5 minutes to spare.
