Yesterday I traveled back from Hawaii and by the time I got home I was fried so didn't run yesterday. After a good night's sleep last night I got out this morning for my long run. It was a little warm (67 with a light wind). I felt good this morning starting out and ran along easily. After around 5 miles I gradually picked up the pace. I was still feeling good half way through so picked up the pace some more. I felt good at this pace until around 19 miles and then it didn't feel as easy but I was still able to hold the pace to the finish. I ran the first half at an 8:06 avg and ran the last half at 7:48 avg so turned out to be a good run.

2:54:54 (7:57 avg)

Nice run, and way to negative split the second half. Some of your long training run you'll feel fatigued, but that's normal. The average pace for the run is great and your doing great.

Wow...you got in an extra two! Great job today...you seemed to be comfortable and must have felt good to run the second half faster. I'm hoping to see you in Boston next Spring. We both have some work cut out, yet it seems to be within reach.

Thanks guys! It is always nice to knock down a 20+ miler. Looking forward to the cooler weather and taper to see what I can do.

Rockness, I will definitely be for Boston and looks like you will have no problem based on your recent training.

Great job on the workout today. Exactly what you want to be doing 5 weeks away from CM.
